How to monitor and evaluate 'sport for development' projects
concept paper
The purpose of this Concept Paper is to gather the experiences and lessons learned from the Danish sports organisations working in the field of sports for development. Further, the Paper will offer recommendations on participatory methodologies, which can assist the organisations in documenting the impact of sports projects in the development of social capital. The Concept Paper is based on the following research questions:
- When using ‘Sport as a Tool for Development’, how can the impact of the activities be measured in relation to the development of ‘social capital’ amongst projects’ core beneficiaries?
- What M&E experiences and lessons learned can be gathered from Danish and International organisations, working with sport for development?
- What models of evaluation could be useful and most effective when evaluating sport for development projects and programmes?
