This paper presents a broadly focused review of literature, to describe the current state of knowledge concerning best practice methods of monitoring and evaluation of chronic disease prevention programs in the workplace that address healthy diets and physical activity. The main purpose of this paper is to provide the background and basis for the Joint Event, and will be a focus point of discussion and information for the meeting participants.
