Physical and social environmental changes to promote walking among Dutch older adults in deprived neighbourhoods

the NEW.ROADS study

This paper describes the development and evaluation protocol of physical and social environmental interventions to promote walking behaviour among older adults living in deprived neighbourhoods. It shows that developing, implementing and evaluating such environmental interventions is challenging, given specific circumstances in the local context in which these interventions were implemented (i.e. specific wishes from the target group, and ongoing activities of other stakeholders).

NEW ROADS is een goed onderbouwde interventie. Meer info op de website Sport- en beweeginterventies.
