Aetiology and prevention of injuries in physical education classes (INTERN)
One of the goals of physical education classes should be to motivate children to practice sports over a lifetime. Negative experience like injuries during physical education will question the achievement of this objective. Data concerning injuries in physical education classes are mostly obtained from large epidemiological studies that do not specifically address the issue. Consequently, there are only limited specific data on this theme. This chapter summarizes the available specific information on the epidemiology and prevention of injuries sustained in physical education.
